Forgot about you all that is!
I’m currently at the Grand Prix of Libertation in Plzen, CZE…
heres a quick update on what you’ve all missed in the last two months
firstly we got back from india ok… i ended up 6th (i think!) in the individual match..
My Meyton electronic target arrived whilst i was away… its great fun to train on and its an excellent training aid… will post pics!
I was also supported by Walther with the longterm loan of a new Walther kk300 Anatomic…. one word covers this….. SSSSWWWWWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEETTTTTTT!!!!!!!!
In the IOM easter open i shot a new british record in the womens 3p final of 679.1 (subject to ratification!!!!) was a good weekend shooting but bloody freezing!
I have a new car…. dad has cast off his old (55 reg) Suzuki Jimny in my direction…. mock me if you want but i love that little car
Orsons a little bugger! but just as cute as his little brother!
At the English Champs i managed 2x 1st and 1×2nd… it was a cold weekend at bisley and my performance was below par for me… i didn’t shoot technically well…. it seems that all the training i do at home goes out of the window when it comes to comps!
I’ve been asked by a few people why i’m not going to the fort Benning World cup in may… the reason is that because of my accident in delhi i didn’t manage to put in a performance to qualify me! Ah Well! gives me more time to train at home!
right back to it… will keep you informed…. promise!

Ok this ist just a quickie but…. i do love modern technology
i moved away from my parents place last year and am now living with Mikey near Portsmouth, a mere 250 miles away and i haven’t seen my two gorgeous nephews since just after Christmas. But, with the invention of the internet, computers, webcams and MSN Messenger my face is beaming now after chatting to “big O” (orson, 2 and a bit years old) who is currently watching farmer stan at grandma and grandads place (over 4000 miles away from where i am at this moment in time) and he blew me kisses, knew who i was, stuck his tongue out at me and really did put a big smile on my face. As for Kurt (born in december) it was nice to see how much he has grown and how caring Orson is towards him!!
I’m happy!!!!!

Hey
Shot my first match today and i must comment it was nice to do so, i’ve really missed shooting. Its been a long journey so far and i know theres going to be even more to come.
Anyhow back to the shooting, today was the womens 50m prone pairs and badge match something i have been able to compete in even with the knackered ankle.
Thanks to the technology the Sius Ascor targets provide heres my shooting!
Michelle’s Prone Badge Match
and thanks to Donald McIntosh (the Scottish Coach) heres some photos of me on the range and the range.

So my match;
Went ok, there were some times when i flicked the shots up at 12/1 o clock and paid the price but i was really happy with my performance to say that prone hasn’t been my focus for the last few weeks.
In the badge match i was a happy 5th, 1 point of 2nd/3rd and 2 off 1st.. but thats ok wtih me.
In the pairs match we were second by 1 point.

Right off to bed as we have the individual match tomorrow.
I willl be posting a more comprehesive account of my trip soon.
Nighty night!!

Hi Mike here again with another update for you………………..
At last some proper training – pre-event training prone and she has managed to more than treble her shot count. After a bit of sorting out of what she is going to able to wear on her left foot and whether or not she could use her shooting boot and or strapping a decision seems to have been made and she then trained accordingly.
So after a few sighters she fired 20 to count and well the picture say it all – 200 x 200 – yes I know you are all saying that it is only training but it is the most positive sign that has come from India and Michelle whilst she has been out there and she is just so much happier to be shooting.

Pre-Event training - Prone
Bring on the Badge and Pairs match tomorrow morning (if you are interested and cannot sleep tonight you can watch the live match on the Suis Ascor website – just follow the link from the NSRA homepage from 0330hrs onwards)
Fingers crossed…………………………….

No shooting today, i was gutted… i managed 16 shots before it was just too much for me so i will just be doing prone at this meeting.
Its a shame for me but i need to look for the long run and i don’t want to make an injury too bad so that it takes too long to recover properly hence not shooting
like i said i’m gutted but now i’m focusing on shooting the prone match on thursday and friday

hey guys!
so as the title and mike says, yes i am very pink! and very much a rock lobster… its been a long time since i have been sunbathing! probably not had a day like yesterday since my last family holiday in Majorca in ‘96
I enjoyed it very much and had a good hobble around the pool
as for an update on things…. because i fell on my knee when i did my ankle in i’ve had all of today with it taped up as it had mis-aligned my knee cap so more ice and rest today.
the ankle is doing well and …… i get to shoot tomorrow!
air rifle badge match and i am looking forward to getting out the hotel and actually doing the job i am here to do
my boots have been wedged to give a bit of ease on the tendon which is the problem and i’ll be iced before, during and lots afterwards!
lets hope i don’t miss any more shoots this week
and on another good note, its less than a week now until i see my gorgeous Mikey! and get to do things to him i shouldn’t be saying on here!
Night y’all!

Winner – yep she won!!!!
Sportswoman of the Year and Sportsperson of the Year.
Despite very stiff competition from the 4th ranked badminton player and one of the top female amateur golfers she came out victorious.
Congratulations Michelle – well done and it is well deserved.

Well Michelle has not got internet again so a quick update from Mike again……….
Yep Holiday it is called for today and that is exactly what she got today – a day by the Pool.
The only thing is i nearly called this one “Rock Lobster” as that is what she looks like after a day in the sun. Not burnt but very pink!!!!!!!!!
Anyway – I said this was quick and it is – I am shattered after shooting and working at the British Airgun Champs and I am hungry so please excuse me while i eat……
More tomorrow………………..

Hey guys
I’ve bought a little internet whilst i’m here and now have nothing to do for at least 2 more days
To update you so far
I’ve already missed the pairs 3×20 which england came 5th i believe. Its gutting to think if i had been fit and well what the result could have been.
We tried a little training this afternoon but after 3 shots standing my ankle had swollen up enough to concern our physio and for the doc, physio and coach to talk me out of tomorrows individual match… so i will be working on my tan “cough” i mean having hydro therapy in the pool all day
muhahahah
There are some perks but the crutches are doing my arms and shoulder in, my ankle is throbbing like mad and currently feels on fire as well!
I’ve not got much time at the moment but my next match will be (if i am deemed fit) on tuesday which will be the air rifle badge match as i have already asked to be pulled out of the pairs! its the right call for me to make.
I have managed to get all my kit though equipment control without any issues.
I’ll get a proper blog typed up tomorrow when i’ll be lounging by the pool.
But here are some pictures for you first!

Right time to try and get some decent sleep.
Nighty night y’all!
LOVE YOU MIKEY

Mike here again updating Michelles blog, as she still isn’t online yet. So I am writing this on her behalf and from her point of view
First competitions today and I am not competing – it is so frustrating not to be shooting……..
So all I have been able to do today is have lots of ice treatment on my ankle and get it strapped up as much as I can so I am now getting around on crutches – well at least it is better than the wheelchair I had yesterday!!!!!!!!!
Watching the competition today was awful – I hated it knowing how well my training has been going and not being able to go out their and show them all how to do it.
Congrats to the Scots who won today’s pairs match with Wales in Second (England were a disappointing 5th).
Day off tomorrow and I am hopeful now that with more rest, ice and strapping I am going to be competing on Sunday in the Individual match.
Look out for more updates in the coming days………..
